MOESIA INFERIOR, Nicopolis ad Istrum. Elagabalus. AD 218-222. Æ Tetrassarion (26mm, 11.99 g, 11h). Novius Rufus, legatis consularis. Struck AD 218-219. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from the front / Hygeia, feeding serpent from patera held in her arms, standing right, facing Asclepius, leaning on serpent-entwined staff, standing facing, head left. HH&J, Nikopolis 8.26.21.2; AMNG 1940; RPC VI Online 1156; Varbanov 3982. Dark green patina, minor roughness, cleaning marks. VF. Very rare, only two known to RPC, one known to HHJ.
